Amazon finances S3 User

This is a cool modell to setup a portfolio. Smart Move! Amazon is doing a good job again!

Animoto one of the second wave widget start-ups in us got financing by amazon. They are S3 users as well. This an other modell to setup tech portfolios and technical due dilligence will be delivered by the investors ;-)

This is an other major new way within the investor space, after bay partner´s facebook only fund about 100$mil and KPBC 100$mil for iPhone Widgets this year.

Would love to know the size of the "S3 Fund"!

Bay Partners in Valley launched a Fund for Facebook apps only. This sound smart. Like the idea, web 1.0 we had funds for internet and in web 2.0 for facebook and myspace apps :-)

SocialText Raises $3M in Series C Funding

SocialText, the wiki platform enterprise solution, has raised $3 million towards a $6.5 million Serices C round. Draper Fisher Jurvetson, SAP and the Omidiyar Network back SocialText, and have already contributed $3 million in the previous round of financing.

Microsoft topping-out ceremony in Cologne

Just back from the Microsoft event, having had some nice koelsch (nice Colonge beer).

Microsoft West Germany is moving to Cologne which made us all really proud Including our mayor and the German head of Microsoft Germany Achim Berg in their good speeches.

Microsoft is about to get new start-ups in the MS facilities as an incubator to generate synergies between the parties.

Think this could work, but I do not know if they are flexible enough to do that.

The people I met, they were more old school than the incubators I know.

The building animation was really good.
